Touro College Berlin is an American college in Germany accredited in the U.S. and also certified to receive VA education benefits, as well as being recognized in Germany.
Programs and Accreditation
On its campus in Berlin Touro College currently offers three programs: from its International School of Business an undergraduate program in business management and administration; on the graduate level from its Graduate School of Business an MBA; and, a unique Master of Arts degree in holocaust communication and tolerance. The undergraduate program awards an American and a German degree. The American B.Sc. program and the two graduate programs are accredited in the United States by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools in the United States of America, and the German B.A. Diploma received accreditation by the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA).
Personalized Instruction
One of Touro College Berlin's special features is its highly personalized instruction in small groups (on average 10 to 15 students per course). Students have an opportunity to share their thoughts and actively engaged in class discussions, or in frequent office hours with their instructor.
Undergraduate Program
Students enrolling in Touro College Berlin’s undergraduate program are part of an American college with an exciting international student body which at present includes students from 19 nations. The language of instruction is English.
Study Abroad
Between the third and fifth semesters, students have the opportunity to study for one semester at the main campus in New York or the Moscow campus for one semester.
Transfer Students
Touro College Berlin welcomes transfer students who have completed work in other post-secondary institutions. There is a possibility to receive credit for courses taken at other institutions depending on the circumstances.
Student Government
Touro College Berlin prides itself on fostering close interaction and support among students, faculty, and administrative staff. While the academic programs are demanding, there is still time for social activities sponsored by the Student Government. Elected annually, the Student Government represents student concerns to the administration, and sponsors a variety of programs and activities.
MBA Program
Touro College Berlin offers great opportunities for graduate students seeking a superior academic institution with an international network of business and governmental leaders over the globe. The MBA program is “practioner oriented”. Building on the significant business experience of the faculty, assistance to students and graduates in the start-up of a business (incubator program) is part of the MBA program. Faculty members are available to provide advice and guidance to students and the advantage of faculty with extensive business experience is that they can quickly spot shortcomings in a business plan and advise on how to avoid costly mistakes.
The personalized instruction and the study abroad program noted above are also characteristics of the MBA program.
